About Julia
Throughout my career, I've developed a passion for building high-performance, engaged teams that scale and deliver high-quality software that customers love. I'm excited to share my experience to help your organization grow and thrive.
Experienced Engineering Leadership
Drawing from decades of hands-on experience and leadership roles across different technology domains, I've developed deep insights into building and scaling successful software organizations. My leadership philosophy centers on building a culture of trust and clarity that empowers team autonomy and activates both purpose and mastery. My focus is on creating high-impact teams that consistently deliver exceptional results while maintaining strong engagement and technical excellence.
From Startups to Enterprise
My journey spans from helping launch and build a startup to serving over a decade at F5, where I've led teams through multiple critical phases: launching 1.0 products, growing distributed teams from zero to 100+, successfully integrating acquired teams, and optimizing service delivery effectiveness. Through these experiences, I've learned invaluable lessons about delivering high-quality software, implementing effective processes, and most importantly, understanding what makes teams truly excel.
Pacific Northwest Roots
Seattle is my home, and the Pacific Northwest has shaped my personal and professional outlook. When I'm not working with teams, you'll find me advocating for environmental conservation, supporting education initiatives, and mentoring the next generation of women engineers. I believe strongly in the connection between time spent outdoors and overall well-being, both for individuals and teams.
